Job Overview:
As a Senior Property Accountant, you'll be responsible for ensuring the accurate recording and timely reporting of transactions related to a portfolio of Taxable REIT Subsidiary (TRS) entities and their properties.
Key Responsibilities:
The Closer
Manage monthly and annual close activities for a portfolio of TRS entities, including preparing income statements, balance sheets, and cash reconciliations.
Conduct thorough reviews of financial statements and reconciliations to ensure precision and accuracy.
The Task Master
Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure compliance with REIT regulations.
Identify training needs and work with the REIT Compliance team to develop necessary materials.
Assist with ad hoc requests and special projects as directed by management.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred or 5+ years of experience in Commercial or Multi-Family Real Estate Accounting.
CPA or MBA is a plus.
Knowledge of GAAP accounting and experience with general ledger software is required.
Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across multiple teams.
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with OneSite is preferred.
