Perform Windows/Linux server builds (virtual or physical)
Apply necessary patches post-upgrade or new server builds
Install and maintain security endpoint agents, ensuring connectivity to logging/alerting servers
Upgrade security endpoint agents as required
Utilize monitoring and alerting tools effectively
Follow and implement server hardening procedures
Coordinate testing with application owners to validate system functionality
Submit servers for vulnerability scans post-upgrade and remediate any identified vulnerabilities
Collaborate with support vendors to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
Work closely with the Security and Compliance teams on deploying and managing security tools/agents
Required Skills:
Experience with Windows Server versions 2012, 2016, 2019, and 2022
Hands-on experience with Red Hat Linux 8.0 and 9.0
Proficient in snapshotting and cloning VMs or physical machines using ESX or third-party tools (Acronis)
Familiarity with installation and configuration of SCOM, SCCM, Splunk, and CommVault agents
Knowledge of BIOS and firmware upgrades
Strong problem-solving abilities
Preferred Skills:
Understanding of the ITIL framework
Familiarity with SQL Cluster environments
Knowledge of VMware ESX Clusters
