Position Overview:
The AI Architect will lead the design, development, and strategic implementation of artificial intelligence solutions to enhance clinical decision-making, operational efficiency, and patient engagement in a healthcare environment. Working within an AI Center of Excellence, this role will oversee the architectural vision for AI initiatives, collaborating with data scientists, software engineers, clinicians, and IT teams to ensure scalable, robust, and innovative AI systems that align with organizational goals. Key Responsibilities:
Define and develop the technical architecture for AI solutions, ensuring they address healthcare challenges such as clinical decision support, workflow optimization, and patient experience improvement.
Oversee the end-to-end AI model lifecycle, including system design, integration, scalability, and performance optimization.
Partner with cross-functional teams, including clinicians and IT professionals, to align AI strategies with clinical and operational needs while ensuring seamless integration into healthcare systems.
Provide technical leadership and guidance on AI methodologies, tools, and frameworks to support development teams.
Evaluate and recommend emerging AI technologies, ensuring solutions remain innovative and competitive within the healthcare industry.
Ensure AI systems comply with healthcare regulations, data privacy standards, and best practices for security and ethics.
Drive the creation of reusable AI frameworks and infrastructure to accelerate future development efforts.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
Extensive experience designing and implementing AI/ML solutions, with a focus on architecture, preferably in healthcare or clinical settings.
Expertise in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java, and deep knowledge of AI frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
Strong understanding of system design, cloud computing (e.g., AWS, Azure), and integration with healthcare IT systems.
Familiarity with healthcare data (e.g., EHR systems, medical imaging) and standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR) is highly desirable.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to guide multidisciplinary teams and influence technical strategy.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering scalable and sustainable solutions.
