Data Center Facilities Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Facility Manager role ensures that we meet customer SLA’s by ensuring power, cooling, and physical security requirements are met. This role covers the Oklahoma City location and works closely with the CIO and other members of the facilities team.
Responsibilities:
      Report to the CIO
  • Assist the CIO in producing facilities KPI reports for Oklahoma City
  • Provide capacity usage reports of data center infrastructure, electrical and mechanical systems.  Review those reports in the weekly facilities meeting.
    • Provide weekly updates on preventive maintenance schedules and maintenance needs for all company owned facilities.
    • Recommend actions based on weekly reports.
  • Maintain vendor contracts on mechanical, plumbing, electrical and general maintenance work to the building systems, facilities, and grounds.   Work within the company budget on such contracts.
  • Thoroughly learn and understand all of the various systems and equipment in the facility. Own and be responsible for their condition and maintenance.
  • Oversee the data center physical operations and ensure appropriate operational procedures and processes are followed to provide reliable build, operation, maintenance, and inventory of the data center.
  • Ensure all data center maintenance is being performed on time and correctly.
  • Provide planning, maintenance, installation, and alteration of company's electrical and mechanical systems, including but not exclusive to the HVAC systems, Power distribution system(s), Security system(s), Fire detection and suppression, computer network wiring, lighting and other systems.
    • Develop written recommendations regarding the most efficient and cost-effective infrastructure solutions.
  • Assist in the planning, budgeting and scheduling facilities modification(s) including cost estimates, bid sheets, layouts and possible contracts for construction, acquisitions and future build-outs.
  • Inspects construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to established plans and specifications.
  • Maintain compliance of departmental specifications, policies, and standards to guide the deployment of infrastructure (racks, servers, power, cooling, cabling, etc.). Maintain the SSAE 16 process for accurate inventory of infrastructure, including warranty, maintenance contracts, and support contacts.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Security:
  • Ensure that SSAE 16 security guidelines and procedures are being followed.
  • Observes and enforces safety rules and regulations, encourages safe work behaviors, and promptly corrects conditions and unsafe behavior which may lead to an accident.
