Job Summary:
The Project Manager will lead a multi-disciplinary team in telecommunications site development, including new macro and small cell sites, fiber optic networks, and modifications to existing facilities. They will manage personnel, finances, and business development, ensuring client relationships are strong and new opportunities are pursued. The role includes overseeing project budgets, P&L, and supporting accounts receivable with PO management. Additionally, the Project Manager will delegate tasks to discipline managers and serve as the primary client interface throughout the project lifecycle, from sales to completion.
Responsibilities:
Delegate project responsibilities and oversee team operations.
Conduct performance appraisals, goal setting, and provide ongoing feedback.
Promote the use of Human Capital software for performance tracking.
Mentor and train team members, and resolve performance or disciplinary issues.
Collaborate on staffing strategies and talent acquisition.
Manage project financials, including P&L, budgeting, and forecasting.
Achieve financial goals and collaborate with internal teams to troubleshoot issues.
Lead business development efforts and manage the sales cycle for project opportunities.
Report on new opportunities and work with leadership to drive sales growth.
Develop and maintain project schedules and reporting.
Serve as the main liaison for project status and issue resolution.
Lead internal meetings to ensure timely project completion and mitigate risks.
Drive special project initiatives and ensure key milestones are met.
Use problem-solving skills to address project challenges.
Support organizational growth through business development and project execution.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors or Advanced Degree preferred
Experience: 10+ years’ experience in telecommunications site development
Skills:
Strong understanding of project management principles
Knowledge of financial reporting and project outcomes
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Proven leadership and team coordination abilities
Effective delegation and task management
Skilled in sales, negotiation, and conflict resolution
Detail-oriented with strong follow-through on project tasks
