Review tax accounts from the preceding quarter and reconcile with the current quarter.
Document noteworthy changes or adjustments.
Implement journal entries as necessary for updates.
Update Annual Tax Provision Workpapers:
Refresh annual tax provision workpapers for the current quarter.
Quantify adjustments stemming from the prior year's provision to tax return modifications.
Provide detailed documentation elucidating the rationale behind adjustments.
Analyze Fluctuations in Financial Statement Balances:
Scrutinize shifts in tax-related financial balances across reporting periods.
Identify and expound upon significant variances, considering factors such as alterations in tax laws or changes in business operations.
Furnish Tax Documentation to Auditors:
Compile essential tax documents and workpapers for auditor review.
Address any inquiries from auditors promptly and comprehensively.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Master’s degree in Tax preferred
A minimum of 7 years of relevant tax/accounting experience
CPA certification
Exceptional managerial, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines
Exemplary attention to detail and precision
Proficiency in tax accounting software and compliance tools
