Job Summary:
The Service Desk Technician provides technical support to all company employees, assisting with hardware, software, and networking issues. This role involves troubleshooting problems related to PCs, laptops, mobile devices, and IT systems, ensuring efficient and effective solutions for end-users.
Responsibilities:
Respond to technical support requests via email, phone, or in-person.
Document and update trouble tickets to track issue resolution status.
Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, including Windows OS and enterprise applications.
Assist employees with the procurement, setup, and maintenance of IT equipment and software.
Identify common IT issues and assist in developing proactive solutions.
Test and deploy new hardware/software solutions as needed.
Configure and install laptops, desktops, and other IT-related devices.
Create and maintain end-user documentation (e.g., “How-To” guides).
Develop and implement training procedures for IT systems.
Maintain IT system standards and explore automated solutions to improve efficiency.
Qualifications:
Education: None required
Experience: 3-5 years of experience as a Technical Service Desk or IT Support Role
Skills: Essential technical and soft skills.
Certifications: Required licenses/certifications.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a technical service desk or IT support role preferred.
Strong professional demeanor and customer service skills.
Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical users.
Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.
Ability to work independently and collaborate in a team-oriented environment.
Willingness to learn new systems and continuously improve IT processes.
Capable of thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Work Environment & Requirements:
5 days a week on-site 8am – 5pm ET
