Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform Windows/Linux server builds (virtual or physical)
  • Apply necessary patches post-upgrade or new server builds
  • Install and maintain security endpoint agents, ensuring connectivity to logging/alerting servers
    • Upgrade security endpoint agents as required
  • Utilize monitoring and alerting tools effectively
  • Follow and implement server hardening procedures
  • Coordinate testing with application owners to validate system functionality
  • Submit servers for vulnerability scans post-upgrade and remediate any identified vulnerabilities
  • Collaborate with support vendors to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
  • Work closely with the Security and Compliance teams on deploying and managing security tools/agents
Required Skills:
  • Experience with Windows Server versions 2012, 2016, 2019, and 2022
  • Hands-on experience with Red Hat Linux 8.0 and 9.0
  • Proficient in snapshotting and cloning VMs or physical machines using ESX or third-party tools (Acronis)
  • Familiarity with installation and configuration of SCOM, SCCM, Splunk, and CommVault agents
  • Knowledge of BIOS and firmware upgrades
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
Preferred Skills:
  • Understanding of the ITIL framework
  • Familiarity with SQL Cluster environments
  • Knowledge of VMware ESX Clusters
